Hoodie tech pack template

Bring the hood, pocket, fleece and rib details together before your first sample conversation.

A blank template does not prescribe measurements, fabric weights or tolerances. Example values below are illustrative.

What goes in your hoodie brief?

01

Fleece, rib and trims

Separate body fabric, cuffs, hem rib and any cord or eyelets. For each, add the composition, color reference, specification and usage notes supplied by your team.

02

Hood construction

Record panel construction, lining and opening details in the construction section. The sample drawing is only a visual reference and does not specify a pattern.

03

Pocket & artwork placement

Describe the pocket position and how it relates to the front artwork. Confirm print dimensions and any constraints caused by seams.

04

A size-by-size measurement table

Half chest, body length and sleeve length are starter rows. Add hood, cuff or pocket measurements when relevant, with your own units and tolerances.

Before you send it

Review unknown fields, record changes, and ask the factory to confirm open questions. A tech pack communicates your intent; sample approval remains a separate decision.

How to fill in your hoodie sample brief

  1. Upload the front and back design, then describe whether the hood is lined, how its panels are constructed and what still needs a decision.
  2. List the body fabric, cuff rib, hem rib and any cords or eyelets separately. Record pocket construction and label positions in the written instructions.
  3. Add measurements for each size, including any hood or pocket dimensions your factory needs. Check that the front artwork and pocket placement instructions agree.

Does this include a hoodie pattern or size grading?

No. This is an editable specification document, not a sewing pattern. The hood drawing does not define panel shapes, and the software does not calculate graded sizes. Enter confirmed values for each size or leave the fields blank for review with your pattern maker and factory.

What if I have not chosen the fleece or trims yet?

Leave unknown composition, weight, color or trim specifications blank. Record the material decision as an open question, rather than treating the example fleece as a requirement. Update the relevant material rows and revision notes when the details are confirmed.
